Wonderful Easter and Spring Break getaway to Charleston

My family and I were visiting the Charleston area over our kids' spring break and Easter holiday. We were trying to decide between staying in a house or renting a couple hotel rooms in town. We are so fortunate that we chose to stay at Merhaven and book through Stay Duvet. I had originally inquired about another Stay Duvet managed house on another rental site. As it turned out, that house was no longer available. Instead of just letting me know that they other house was unavailable, Stay Duvet mentioned that Merhaven was available, and they worked with us on what accommodations we needed. They really couldn't have made it easier and more convenient. Merhaven was in a wonderful location just steps away from the beautiful College of Charleston and an easy walk to all the great shops on King Street. We chose to drive over to Fripp Island one day to enjoy the beach, and it was an easy, scenic drive to the beach as well. The house was well-appointed with a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. There was plenty of space for our family, and we felt right at home. The screened porch was a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, and the garden courtyard was a great place to relax in the evening. I really can't recommend this location enough, and we hope to be back sometime soon!

Merhaven is spectacular!

I found Merhaven back in the fall as we planned for my son's wedding. I wanted a home in town with a garden, that could accommadate 9-10 people and I did. I communicated often with Taylor, our assigned concierge by phone and email. He responded immediately and helpfully each and every time. I met the owners in October who toured me around their home and gave me helpful hints about the house, gardens and parking. They graciously allowed us to have a family dinner one night and a good bye continental breakfast the day after the wedding. What an amazing place to entertain. Duvet arranged for a concierge to meet us upon arrival. We needed to speak with her once during our stay and she responded immediately. This house truly made the wedding weekend complete. My husband and I can't wait to return to Charleston and enjoy Charleston without the complexities of these wedding events. I think Duvet has done an amazing job providing true customer service - and includes a group of equally helpful staff. Thank you.

Best home rental experience I've ever had!

The property: This is one of those places that is even better in person than in the photos. Much more spacious than we had anticipated. Comfortable, clean, and in a great location for enjoying downtown Charleston. If you like a private outdoor space, I doubt there is a better Charleston property...absolutely stunning. One minor comment might be that it is close to the MUSC hospital complex, and so we heard a few sirens during our stay. Hosts: This property is managed by Duvet. We met Quinn and one other associate from this company in person when we arrived. Quinn had been in touch with us many times throughout the process and we were able to relax knowing that check-in was going to be smooth...and it was. Except that I left one piece of luggage (don't ask) at my hotel from the previous night. The hotel was a ten minute drive and I didn't have a car. So the management team told me they would drive back to the hotel and bring back my bag...THAT is service!! Conclusion: We would love to return to this property and would recommend it to anyone.

The Merhaven was perfect for a long weekend with enough beds for our large group of friends to have places to eat, sleep, and enjoy being together! It's location is very walkable to most of Charleston.

Amazing hosts!

Our host met us so we could grab the key and even drove us to the grocery store so we didn't have to Uber. Super nice! The house was impeccable and exactly as listed. The neighborhood was cute, quiet, and felt very safe. Perfect.

The Merhaven was even better than it looked in the photos and it was perfect for our girls' weekend away with 10 people. There was plenty of space for everyone and we especially loved the garden area and the screened in porch. It was an easy walk to King Street and a short drive to the beach. Taylor, our assigned concierge, promptly answered all our questions about Charleston and gave us awesome recommendations on where to eat and what to do while we were there. In short, a wonderful place to stay!!

Fantastic Home for long weekend

We had a wonderful time in Charleston and the Merhaven Home just made the trip that more enjoyable. Close to down town Charleston (cheap Uber ride) very comfortable and spacious home with a wonderful back patio to just sit and enjoy the outside! The managers of the property could not of been more hospitable and attending to all of my questions and needs! Will recommend this home to all my friends and will be back again!

Great Location Downtown

The Merhaven is a beautiful, well-maintained historic home in downtown Charleston, and it is within walking distance of great restaurants and nightlife on King and Meeting Streets and beyond! The home easily accommodates a large family and has two really large bedrooms upstairs, and the one my wife and I slept in has a super comfortable memory foam Mattress. I can't speak for the other beds because I didn't try them out (LOL). Did I mention it has two great outdoor areas to sit and relax, a large farm table for dining, an easy to maneuver kitchen and great concierge service from pillar to post? If our family ever needs a rental in Charleston again, Duvet will be our 1st choice!
