After it was established in the early 1800s, it was deemed a National Historic Landmark in the 1970s. Great house in a great location in Charleston

The management company (Duvet) provided this property when our original choice was not available due to hurricane damage. The house is very unique and well - located. Spacious and well-appointed, and very comfortable. David, the Concierge/handyman, took care of a couple small issues very quickly (dead battery in smoke alarm, helping us figure out how to turn on the sconce on the lower stairway, etc. The house would be great for couples or a family, but I wouldn't recommend it for very small children or older adults/those with mobility problems The stairs are MANY and fairly steep and curving. Also, the parking spot is great to have, but it definitely won't fit a large SUV and you will need some decent parking skills to maneuver it into the spot. It was an easy walk to a lot of great places, and again-David gave us some great restaurant recommendations that were within 3-4 blocks of the house (Warehouse, Five Loaves, Barsa, The Grocery). Great place for multiple couples or families

Great house, great city.

Great communication pre-arrival. Fast response to a minor issue with the cable/internet. Overall a very nice house with everything we needed for a 4 day stay. Would have liked to have used the fireplaces on the cold nights, especially downstairs. We really enjoyed being so close to so much in Charleston. Would definitely rent this house again and we might!

Long Weekend Getaway

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend. The house was beautiful, all the appliances were brand new, and the beds were even more comfortable than my own. The only thing better than the property Itself was the location. Located right in the heart of downtown and in walking distance to everywhere. It was also very quite even though it is located so close to King Street. This is a perfect place for a family or a few couples. We cannot wait to come back.
