With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree-lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary, and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include The Tippling House Wine Bar, The Ordinary, Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Bistronomy, Barsa, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish, Pink Cactus, Chasing Sage, and Elliotborough Minibar drinks. Our guests and neighbors also rave about Brown's Court Bakery and Sugar Bakery located nearby. We recommend going to Babas for a cup of locally-roasted coffee and their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops and fashion boutiques – as well as an endless list of buzzing restaurants. Publix is conveniently located nearby on Lockwood Drive as well. The neighborhood is also within walking distance to CofC, MUSC, Roper, and the Citadel

There were 10 of us for a long weekend in Charleston. This was a good location for walking or ubering to places we wanted to see. The living room and porch were the right size for all of us to gather.

The bedroom configuration was perfect for our group. This is a much older home, so there seemed to be twice as many steps to get to the second story, and they were rather skinny which made it difficult to walk up and down with an infant and impossible for our elderly grandma to come upstairs. The railing was wobbly and unsturdy for it’s true purpose. Everything was super clean and decorated very well. The beds were comfortable and the space was unique with the history. The smoke detector started going off in two separate rooms at 4am. The host wasn’t able to come address the issue until 10:30am, which resulted in a lack of sleep for everyone upstairs since it’s alarm sounded every 30 seconds and echoed everywhere. The toilets in the upstairs bathrooms were not placed level or solid and would wobble everyone you used it. Beautiful home, but very expensive for some of the simple fixes that needed to happen to be worth the price.

Great location with an easy walk to King. Street was a bit noisy but that added to the charm. House clean and well equipped. Overall recommend this house and StayDuvet was extremely responsive before and during our stay.
